Paddling through time: special kayaking pre-conference workshop at STLHE 2013

Are you thinking of coming to the annual conference of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE)? It takes place in mid-June in beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Special all-day pre-conference workshop:  Visit http://www.cbu.ca/stlhe/pre-conference-sessions and scroll down to the very last workshop listed on this page

We will be kayaking, visiting historic Fort Louisbourg, learning field identification and observation skills (birds and whatever else we find), learning French phrases, having lunch and a tour of the fort, thinking about how to incorporate aspects of learning outdoors into our classes, whatever we teach, and having a great day on land and sea.

Co Leaders: Alan Wright and Marie-Jeanne Monette, University of Windsor, and Alice Cassidy, In View Education and Professional Development and the University of British Columbia
